Total PITA to use as the shank is small compared to the 1-3/4" masonry bit needed to allow the SDS Max Lok coupler to enter the hole being drilled. You have to remove the bit every inch or two of progress in the masonry material being drilled or it will clog up the bit and make removal impossible. Because of this product (multiple extensions) ..i was able to drill 8 feet diagonally in a customers solid brick raised patio for a firepit gas line install but it took 6 hours to make the hole. There are no drill bits long enough for that kind of install and so Milwaukee takes the cake for producing such a product but be aware it will be a tedious effort and forget using anything less than a 2" plus rotary hammer drill to make it happen. I was proud to make it happen but it kicked my arse doing so!!
